Bulletin

As we continue our journey through the Gospel of Luke in our "Take the Long Way" series, this Sunday we found ourselves in the synagogue when Jesus reads from the scroll of Isaiah,

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor."

- Luke 4:18-19

Pastor Nate points out that in this passage, as well in much of Jesus' ministry, Jesus showed great love and compassion towards the inconspicuous of society, through inconspicuous means.
