We had the pleasure of having seminary intern Jackson Nickolay preach to us this Sunday from Luke 24:13-35 on The Road to Emmaus story. We see Jesus' intentional pursuit of two grieving disciples walking away from the place were they experienced loss. By the end of the story, Jesus' time with them had the two disciples rejoicing in hope and running back in the direction from which they came to share the hope they'd received.
