Jesus moves towards us -- the sinners, the outcasts, the unexpected ones -- and calls us "Beloved". In her sermon on Luke 18:39-19:10, where we see Jesus heal a blind man and seek out Zacchaeus, Pastor Lindsay references Romans 9:25 "...I will call them 'my people' who are not my people; and I will call her 'my loved one' who is not my loved one." As a reminder that we, the sinners, are called Beloved by our Savior and are redeemed.
