What Does Fellowship’s Consistory Do?
Our consistory consists of our Ministry Leadership Council (MLC), Care Leadership Council (CLC), President of the Congregation, and our pastors. In general terms,
The MLC oversees Fellowship’s mission, vision, and administration through prayerful discernment, annual planning, communication, assessment, and accountability
The CLC loves and serves our community and congregation through care, prayer, engagement, and support
The President of the Congregation serves as a liaison for the congregation’s questions and concerns, supports the ministry of the staff leadership team, and presides at consistory meetings
Why Do People Serve on Consistory?
During our most recent Consistory retreat, we spent some time developing “WHY” statements that articulate our respective personal mission as members of the FRC consistory. Here are a few…
“Have people feel connected, welcome letting them know their presence matters”
“To love and care for people so that people at Fellowship can see the grace of God being extended to them”
“To reflect God’s love and light to others and be a positive hopeful voice, particularly to our youth.”
“To brighten the day of people I interact with in order to turn the world’s focus away from the dark moments and turn to the Light.”
“To be caring and loving to others, to serve the people so that Christ’s love may impact our broken world.”
“To learn, listen, engage, and use my analytical approach so that others can be served, feel loved, and feel understood.”
“Everyone will believe they are loved and accepted by God and that they have unique gifts, abilities, and passions needed to enhance their family, community, and world in the name of Jesus.”
